Field placements are a critical part of the teacher education program, yet field placement is perceived as the most disconnected piece of the teacher education program. The disconnection is between theory and practice and it is very difficult to control. It involves relationships between the university and the K-12 school, the Methods teachers, the student teachers and the supervising teachers. It is now more complicated because of technology.

In this segment, we visit the University of Mississippi and see the 'Ole Miss' approach to field placement. We also hear how they used their PT3 grant to provide technology integration training for both faculty and supervising schoolteachers.
